Hey, babes! We hope you’re enjoying the weekend! Those of you who are following us on social media surely noticed that the winners of Face of Kattiva have been revealed. We would like to thank all of you for participation and wanted to tell you how surprised we were by the number of you, and the whole process of choosing took us full 3 days! All of you are trendy and chic girls and we’re really glad that we managed to create a mini-community of girls with a great style. 🙂 Now the finalists have about a week to make selfies in the products we had sent them. Then us, TOGETHER with you, help us to pick to winner. We hope you’ll be helpful. 🙂

Last week we went to the Blogger of the Year 2017 awards. It was such a nice event full of inspiring people. Since our blog baby is still in diapers, we were grateful that we even got to the final round. We will do our best to improve it, so you keep finding interesting stuff here. 🙂

This week we’ve realized that it wouldn’t be totally out of line to write a post about the place one of us lives in and the other one went to visit her last year. Yep, we are talking about the city of angels, LA.

Los Angeles is the second largest city in the US and on the top of the list in the state of California itself. It was founded in 1781 and the original name was ‘El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora Reina de los Angeles sobre el Rio Porciuncula’ which translates to ‘The city of our queen of angels on the river Porciuncula’. Logically, from practical reasons, the name Los Angeles became used.

The highest concentration of movie and TV stars, celebrities can be found right here. Because of the highest number of sunny days in a year, the whole movie industry has moved here, particularly to Hollywood. We went to check out the famous Hollywood sign, which I’m sure you’ve seen somewhere. Not that many people know that the letters were installed by a real estate agency because the land in the area was actually for sale but was not in its best condition. They were originally saying Hollywoodland. Today it’s one of the most popular tourist attractions used just for pictures. If you’d like to go for a nice hike in the Hollywood Hills with some nice villas around, go for it!

You’ve definitely heard of the well-known American road Route 66. It goes all the way from Chicago to Los Angeles and was a part of US road number system ending in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. Nowadays, you can find souvenir shops, rides, rollercoasters and attractions for curious tourists here. We stopped by when we were walking on Santa Monica beach where Baywatch was actually filmed.

At the time when we were wandering around the city of angels, we didn’t have a blog yet, but when we got the famous pink wall, we saw a few bloggers taking pictures there. So, we just watched them for a bit and then made a selfie. There’s nothing extra about this wall besides the fact that it’s pink. It’s a part of a Paul Smith shop and considered to be the most instagrammed wall in LA, so when you get to LA and want to make a cool picture everyone will be amazed by, don’t miss this spot!

Palos Verdes peninsula is located in the southern bay of Los Angeles and it’s a green spot right in the city that is built mostly from asphalt and concrete. You can reset your mind just by enjoying the beautiful views and nature. This part of the city is a real estate hot spot, that’s why you can find more than one mansion overlooking the Catalina island. We recommend comfy shoes, don’t dare to walk in heels, you’d regret it for sure! 😀

This is the spot where celebrities swarm quite often! Amazing restaurant right on the Malibu beach famous for its cuisine and guests. A couple A-list stars as Charlize Teron, Brad Pitt, Miley Cyrus, Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Eddie Murphy, Paris Hilton and maaany more have their houses in the area. A restaurant there is like winning the lottery. The downside is that you can see plastic ‘Barbies’ and ‘Kens’ here just waiting to be noticed, discovered and put into a show. They are quite amusing. 🙂

If you are in the mood for a calm relaxing day, Manhattan beach is the perfect choice! Long beach with various options for sport and awesome atmosphere. We did our photoshoot here and enjoyed the walks through beautiful streets near the beach.

Since the main point of Katka’s trip was campaign photoshoot for KATTIVA, we did not have that much time for attractions with long queues, but at least we got to experience unusual and trendy spots in LA, which may not be found in the city’s brochure. If we inspired some of you to visit, we are more than happy! If you’ve already visited LA and have some other ideas of what to see, let us know in the comments for our readers to have even more inspiration!

Girls, have a wonderful start to the week!
