Hey, babes! On Wednesday, we introduced another super food and also our most favorite spring vegetable – asparagus. You can read about its magical effects HERE. It may sound unbelievable, but it’s really true. When you start watching your weight after eating asparagus regularly, you’ll see the results in just a few weeks. Besides, you’ll feel great. It’s the asparagus season right now, so definitely pay more attention to it at the grocer’s!

For those of you who have no experience preparing it, we have great news. It’s very easy! If you choose the green asparagus, it’s enough to cut off the ends and that’s it, you prepare/eat the whole thing. Regarding the white one, it’s better to peel it as a carrot. You can cook, bake, steam, grill it, or even consume it raw!

We’ve prepared some recipes for you, they’re super easy and all have asparagus, this spring’s star, starring in the main role!



You can eat this soup more than once a week without having any regrets. It’s not a main course, but if you add roasted bacon or prosciutto, or some healthy bread, you’ll feel full for next couple hours.


Green asparagus


Butter (GHEE preferably) or olive oil

Vegetable broth

Salt, pepper, nutmeg



Wash the asparagus and cut into smaller pieces. Chop the shallot to tiny pieces and stir-fry with butter to golden-like color in a pot. Add the asparagus and leave it together, add the broth not long after. If you don’t feel like preparing the broth on your own or don’t have time, you can surely find a ready-made one at a grocery store. We’ve discovered that recently and it’s a great idea! After the asparagus is done, we take a mixer and mix everything in the pot thoroughly to a smooth state. Add salt, pepper, a bit of nutmeg at the end. Wait until it boils and that’s that! You have no idea how amazing this will be for your body if you add this soup to your diet!



Even though we love pasta, let’s be honest, it is not the one of the low-calorie delicacies. That’s why we eat it only at a special occasion. But we love this recipe so much we had to share it with you. If you go for pasta, have a quality kind, ideally made from semolina.



Any pasta (we chose tagliatelle)

Green asparagus

3 egg yolks

Olive oil


Ghee butter

Salt, black pepper



Prepare water for the pasta. Before the water boils, we clean the asparagus and cut the stems off. Cut to smaller pieces. Separate the egg whites and yolks. Grate the cheese and when the water starts to boil, add a bit of salt and oil. Put in the pasta and place a steaming sieve over it. Put the asparagus into it and after few minutes put the asparagus onto a heated pan on which we had melted the butter. before straining the pasta, we pour off a bit of water (we are going to need this later for thickening). Add salt and pepper to the asparagus then add the strained pasta. Mix it and add the water we’d poured off. After it’s all mixed together, move it to a large bowl. And now the grand finale! While stirring the pasta, add Parmesan and later after they’ve cooled down a little bit, add the yolks. Careful not to make scrambled eggs! This delicious pasta can be topped with basil and be proudly served anyone who’s hungry!



If you’d like to lose weight, change any side to asparagus. It’s great only steamed but also roasted on a pan. However, you’ll get an extraordinary flavor when you serve it together with bacon. It’s a dish we fell in love with right away, so when you’re expecting guests and you’d like to offer them something special, try this incredibly easy and delicious recipe.

Sliced bacon (or Italian prosciutto crudo)



Wrap three asparagus pieces in bacon or ham and pierce with a small skewer to stay together. And now, you’ve got three options. Either you grill these rolls, put them on a pan or in the oven. There’s no need to use oil in any of the cases since bacon already has enough fat. This extremely easy and yummy food can be served as a starter or side dish. But for us it’s a main course :).



Well, this is the thing! We’ve carried out a small experiment and it worked out. We combined the subtle taste of asparagus with May bryndza and the result? Yummy! Again, it’s not one of the low-calories dishes, we shouldn’t eat it every single day, but the taste is worth the sin, don’t you think? 🙂

Fresh May bryndza


Sour cream

Puff pastry


Olive oil

Salt and black pepper



Wash the asparagus, cut the ends, leave whole. Stir-fry in olive oil, add salt and pepper. Mix the bryndza together with sour cream to make it softer. Separate yolk from the egg white and mix the yolk with bryndza. Prepare the puff pastry into a baking mold. Pour the bryndza mix in and place the asparagus pieces on the top. Leave it in the oven, pre-heated to 180°, for about 30 minutes (also depends on the size of the mold).
