Hello there! We are here after a week, unusual, we know, but both of us were enjoying some time off abroad. The holidays went by quickly and now, we are well-rested and ready for the hard work mode. 🙂 Last week, you had the chance to win a bundle in the amount of 500 EUR on our Instagram and you can expect to find out who the winner is in no mind. Your feedback on hot yoga was wonderful and we are glad that many of you got inspired and tried it. Today’s topic is a bit girl, concerning mostly women our age, but we hope, even the younger generation is going to read it to see what’s waiting for them in the future. 🙂

This topic had been on our list for some time and we decided that today is the right moment for it. Those of you after 30 are definitely going to agree with us when we say that our life has changed drastically at some point. We started seeing it differently, realized what the real values are. You can say, that a person is getting mature at this age, right? It’s interesting that an 18-year-old is considered to be an adult. From where we stand, it’s still a kid. 🙂 This post is about the difference between the lives of 20- and 30-year-olds. Well, at least in our case, and hopefully, you’re going to have a good laugh and maybe find yourselves in one of the groups.

1.DIET

When we were 20, we didn’t care much about what we ate. Both of us lived in dormitories and the choice isn’t great there. Fast-food, bread, pizza or greasy meals, that was an everyday thing! Since we were dancing a lot at that time, it didn’t show on our body. Unhealthy overeating without any limits also had it’s perks though. 🙂

Today, we think twice what fuel we put in. We are almost obsessed with healthy diet and quality groceries because we see it as a longterm investment. Balanced diet is the basis of everything at our age: whether it’s overall health, beautiful skin or slim figure. When losing weight, 70%  of your success lies in the diet and 30% in sport (that’s mostly for getting fitter and stronger).

2.SPORT

When our dancing careers were over, we wanted to stay slim and fit, we did it mostly for our appearance. Both of us tried plenty of sports until we found the best fit for us.

Right now, we do sports because it’s good for our health. We know that any cardio is awesome for body blood circulation and good metabolism. Of course, we want to look fit and slim, but it’s not the most important thing. Even taking a walk is an amazing way of active relax.

3.WEEKENDS

There wasn’t a weekend when we didn’t go out! We lived for Fridays and Saturdays when we went out with our clique and partied! Parties until the sun came up, sometimes even twice in one weekend, nothing unusual back then. Who cared that we spent the following days in bed, but the fun we had!

Now? We are happy when the weekend comes, but we prefer to have our Fridays with a cup of tea and a good movie. The weekend has this interesting aura for us now, no phones, cleaning, reading and walks in the nature. And parties? Dinner with friends at the most, not pulling an all-nighter! (Well, to be completely honest, we can do that at Pohoda and that is it :))

4.WORK

Studying at uni, professional dancing, Dancing with the Stars. We knew that dance is our passion but also that we would soon face the decision about our future. You can imagine the chaos inside our head. 🙂

With peace of mind we can stay that the life got sorted on its own. 🙂 We just wanted to work and right now we have Kattiva which is very close to our hearts and a lifestyle blog Kattiva Trends.

5.FRIENDS

When we were 20, we wanted to be friends with everybody and it was sooo easy to make new friends. But we got burned a few times and got more careful.

It’s different when you get 30. We still enjoy spending time with people and having company, but we don’t change our real friends. These people have our full trust and we keep together.

6.NATURE

What’s nature? As university students in Bratislava and traveling around, all we cared about were friends, dance, and school. There  wasn’t much greenery around in our little big city, so we didn’t even bother to look for it. You don’t miss what you don’t have. But let’s be honest, even if the whole school had been covered with something green, we wouldn’t have noticed. By the way, did you know that we spent one whole year of uni together as classmates at the University of Economics?

We see nature very positively, often look for it as a source of energy. It’s the greatest relax to go for a jog in the woods, or simply walk. Again, it’s all about health! It’s good for our physique and mind as well. We care about the nature because we know we are responsible for it! We’ll get to explore its beauty, smell, and energy in return.

7.SKIN

Ten years ago, we didn’t think about wrinkles or other skin imperfections. For one simple reason: the skin of a 20-year-old is perfect! You can eat whatever you want, stay up all night and still look good!

Being 30 we know very well about the consequences of your lifestyle and that is why we try to live healthy. Sure, we indulge here and there or drink more than us needed. But very very rarely. And girls, remember this: skin has to be healthy from the inside and then it needs to be pampered with some good lotion or mask – by this, we are not saying that good means expensive. The exact opposite, sometimes inexpensive cream from a pharmacy can do wonders.
