Hey! It’s Sunday, so a post has to be up on our blog. Last week’s fashion related blog post was really successful and we are incredibly happy because of that. This time, we’ve decided to introduce two more breakfast recipes because many of you have been asking for them on Instagram. Breakfast has always been an issue! Those of you, who do not eat breakfast are making a big mistake and the ones, who eat not really the best things, too. Some of us find some favorite breakfast meal, which is healthy but we get bored with it after some time. If you’ve found yourselves in one of these three groups and you’d like to get inspired by some new healthy breakfast recipes, read on!
Let’s get right to it! Here are our two recipes, which not only taste great, but they are also very healthy, wake you up and make you feel full throughout the new day!
1. Chia seed pudding
- 1 cup of whole fat coconut milk without sugar (or coconut yogurt mixed with coconut milk)
- 1/4 cup of chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- those who prefer sweeter dishes, add a tablespoon of maple syrup
Mix everything together and leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, right before serving, decorate the pudding with any fruits. We used blueberries, nuts and a pomegranate.
This recipe belongs to the Ketogenic diet, often called only keto, because it includes very low amount of saccharides and a high amount of quality fats.
Some information about the ingredients.
Coconut milk is considered ‘magical’ because it’s rich in nutrients and helps our body to build an immune system and fight against illnesses. Together with coconut oil and coconut water are one of the healthiest foodstuffs in the world. Because of the fact that coconut milk contains high amount of healthy fats, it makes you feel full for a bit longer and prevents overeating or snacking during the day, which can affect trying to burn fat. It helps with digestive problems as well.
Chia seeds help you raise the energy levels and focus more; they are a suitable supplement during detox and to quench your hunger. Basically, it is ideal for anyone, of course, as an addition to diet.
2. Pumpkin and oat flake chia pudding
- 1 cup of flakes (ideally glutamine-free)
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- 2 and 1/2 cups milk of your choice
- 1 and 1/4 of a cup of pumpkin pureé (we cook the pumpkin and mash as mashed potatoes)
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg powder mixed together
Mix everything together and leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, right before serving, decorate the pudding with nuts, 80-100 per cent shaved chocolate, whatever fruits you have at hand. We used sisters of plums, greengages 🙂
Let’s go over the ingredients of this nutritious bomb one by one.
Who wouldn’t know OAT FLAKES? Some love them, some can’t even stand to look at them. Many people don’t even know how healthy they are. Flakes have no gluten and on the contrary, they contain many important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They are a huge helper when you want to lose weight. After eating them, you’ll feel fuller and your digestion will slow down. Fiber helps our digestive system, fights against congestion and nourishes the body. The insoluble part of fiber helps to empty the intestines and also gets rid of toxic substances.
For many people, PUMPKIN is just a Halloween decoration. Well, maybe it’s time to reconsider the benefits of this wonderful vegetable. Baked pumpkin is full of nutrients, contains many beneficial vitamins and minerals and still has a low calorie count. There are many ways how to include it into your diet. You can eat it as a dessert, soup, salad, you even substitute it for butter.
Thanks to unique composition, CINNAMON is a typical spice of this wintery time. It can warm up the body, it has antibiotic effects and strengthens our immune system. It’s calming, relieves tension and stimulates blood circulation. Lowers respiration problems and other rhythm processes of our body. It’s does wonders when soothing the mental state after a break-up, before a divorce, when losing a job. It improves mental awareness of the elderly through making the brain nerve streams flow.
Gals, we hope, we’ve inspired you with these recipes and that you will try them soon! We are preparing something special connected with a giveaway for you next week, so we do believe, it will work out! Follow us to find out more!
